Gestion des services de garde is an Attestation d'études collégiales (AEC) offered by Cégep Marie-Victorin for students preparing to manage daycare centres (CPE), private daycares, and school-based childcare services. The programme covers work-function analysis specific to childcare management, communication and interpersonal skills for early-childhood settings, human-resource management within daycare services, financial-resource management under applicable legal and administrative rules, health-and-safety practices, and the direction and coordination of a daycare service. It runs 525 hours over eight months of full-time study, delivered online. Admission requires a passing result on a French-language pre-selection test, a secondary school diploma or equivalent relevant work experience, and either an interruption of full-time studies or at least two consecutive sessions (or one school year) of postsecondary study. Graduates are prepared to take on management and coordination roles within childcare services, including centre de la petite enfance (CPE) settings, private daycares, and school-based childcare programmes.
