Digital Filmmaking at College of the North Atlantic is a two-year, six-semester diploma delivered on campus at the Bay St. George campus, starting in September. The program responds to demand for filmmakers and technicians in the Canadian film industry, giving students hands-on training with industry-standard equipment across producing, directing, and editing through individual and team projects. During intersession semesters, first- and second-year students work with instructors to develop and produce a short film screened for a public audience. Admission accepts a Provincial High School Graduation Certificate with a 60% average across eight level 3000 credits or equivalent, a College Transition Certificate, Adult Basic Education (Level III) with a 60% average pass mark, or mature student status for applicants 19 or older who have been out of school for at least a year. Students must be able to work long hours in varied environmental conditions, work comfortably at heights, and lift at least 30 pounds. International applicants must meet CNA's English language proficiency requirements.
