Applicants must meet NBCC's institution-wide English language requirements: IELTS Academic with a minimum overall score of 6.0 and no band below 5.5, or TOEFL iBT with an overall score of 80 and no section below 18, among other approved tests. Before workplace practicums, host agencies require a current criminal record check and vulnerable sector check from a recognized police service, and some employers may also require proof of valid CPR Level C Lifesaver certification.
