— it helps other students.
This programme builds competence in language, translation and the technologies now used in both fields, combining linguistic and communicative training with practical work on automated translation, language-recognition and text-generation systems. Students learn to translate, edit and format technical texts using computer-assisted translation tools, build translation memories and terminology databases, and work with translation-project-management software, while also studying the architecture of large language models and basic programming so they can apply and test language-model-based solutions. Research training covers lexical, grammatical and stylistic text analysis, bibliographic methods, and assessment of the reliability, limitations and ethical issues of artificial-intelligence tools. The course finishes with a final degree project and defence, after classroom and independent study built around intermediate and final assessments in each module.
